Rebekah qualified as a Dramatherapist in 2001 and trained in Sherborne Developmental Movement in 2018. She has worked in a number of NHS departments, Schools, Pupil Referral Units, Adoption Support Services and in Private Practice at The Bay Therapy Centre in West Bridgford, Nottingham.
Rebekah's primary areas of interest in the current climate are as follows:
On line creative sessions to develop inner resources.
On line story based sessions as a way to connect and manage circumstances, particularly in current times when we are all learning to cope with COVID 19.
In-person Sherborne Movement to enhance the child:parent relationship and develop life long resilience in the child. Developing ways for parents to cope and connect with their children and young people.
Rebekah has also worked as a freelance Dramatherapist for Catharsis Creative Arts Therapy delivering 1:1 inerventions with young people in Pupil Referral Units.
Rebekah is Registered with The Health and Care Professions Council, a member of The British Association of Dramatherapists, and a published author in Dramatherapy the Journal of the British Association of Dramatherapists. She is currently writing further material on Dramatherapy & Autism.
Rebekah trains other healthcare professionals in understanding the Arts Therapies and using Dramatherapy techniques for their own professional development. Rebekah designs and runs workshops for other Arts Therapists and Psychotherapists for their Continuing Professional Development and personal self-reflection.
